The Lleida Chamber of Commerce has promoted research, in collaboration with the UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) and the University of Lleida (UdL), to provide rigorous and useful information on a phenomenon of great economic and social relevance for the province of Lleida: the relocation of companies to other parts of Spain.
The study, carried out by Oriol Montanyà and Andrei Boar, Director and Researcher of the Sustainability Observatory of the UPF-BSM, respectively, and Jordi Moreno, Researcher of the Department of Business Administration of the UdL, will present the main conclusions on 7 March at 6:45 pm in an event organised by the three institutions in the Auditorium, of the Centre for Cultures and Cross-Border Cooperation of the UdL.
The event will be attended by the three researchers and the Director General of the UPF-BSM, José M. MartÃnez-Sierra, as well as various regional authorities such as the Rector of the University of Lleida, Jaume Puy; the President of the Diputació de Lleida, Joan Talarn; the Mayor of Lleida, Miquel Pueyo; and the President of the Lleida Chamber of Commerce, Jaume Saltó.
During the session there will also be a panel discussion, moderated by the Editor in Chief of Diari Segre, Santi Costa, with the participation of Josep Maria Riu, President of the Col·legi d'Economistes de Lleida; Bernat Solé, Delegate of the Catalan Government in Lleida; Jordi Domènech, Director of the Engineering Dept. of Group Vall Companys, and Jordi Serrate, CEO of Tallers Niubo.
