Sport, sustainability and climate emergency

The UPF Barcelona School of Management will delve into the binomial sport and sustainability on 28th April in the webinar "Sport, sustainability and climate emergency", organised by the Master in Sports Management in collaboration with the consultancies Summa Sport and L'Origen.

Four panels will address the commitment of the sports world to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), stipulated by the ONU, and will analyse the compliance of the sector with the 2030 Agenda. In addition, the complicity of sport will be pursued to develop strategies that go beyond regulation to action to ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly events, infraetructures and sporting practice. 

The webinar will include the participation of elite athletes such as the mountain runner, Kilian Jornet, and the sailor and Olympic medallist, Theresa Zabell, as well as representatives of the leading institutions in the field of sports, such as Juli Pernas, President of COE Sports and Environment Commission; Helena Berlanga, head of Planning and Management subsection of the Sport Facilities Office of the Diputació de Barcelona; and Josep Lluís Bruna, member of the Spanish Sports Association, among others.
