Marcelo Ortiz Muñoz

Assistant Professor UPF

Marcelo is an Assistant Professor of Financial Accounting in the Department of Economics and Business at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He is affiliated with UPF - Barcelona School of Management and the Barcelona School of Economics. Marcelo co-organizes the Barcelona Accounting Seminars. He got his Ph.D. in Finance from UAI (Chile) and was visiting Ph.D. student at the Rotterdam School of Management (the Netherlands). Before joining academia, Marcelo worked for several years as a financial trader in the banking industry. Research Interests: (1) Transparency and markets. (2) Business owners and Family Firms.
