The UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) belongs to the Fundación Instituto de Educación Continua de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra (UPF), a private non-profit foundation governed by a Board of Trustees, advised by an Internal Advisory Board, and a Governing Council, advised by a Council of Studies.

Our Board of Trustees is formed by UPF, the UPF-BSM and a large group of companies and institutions that directly appoint the people who represent them.

The International Advisory Council (IAC) is a consultative body that strives to reinforce and enhance the international reputation of the UPF Barcelona School of Management.

The IAC has the following main functions:

• Evaluating the School's strategic plan and initiatives.
• Giving advice based on trends.
• Proposing the implementation of new innovative practices.
• Helping to enhance the School’s international dimension.

The International Advisory Council is formed of leading professionals with international experience, academics from associated institutions and business representatives from a range of sectors. IAC members are approved by the UPF-BSM Governing Council.

The IAC members give expert advice that encompasses gender, geographic, cultural and disciplinary diversity.

• Paolo Boccardelli, Full Professor of Management and Corporate Strategy at LUISS University and Former Dean of Luiss Business School.
• Ingmar Björkman, Rector of Hanken School of Economics. Former Dean of Aalto University School of Business.
• Vincenzo Esposito, Dean and President of ESSEC Business School.
• Thami Ghorfi, President of ESCA School of Management.
• Andreu Mas-Colell, Professor Emeritus of Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and President of the BIST, the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology.

The Council of Studies is the Foundation’s deliberative and consultative body that advises the governing bodies in relation to programming its studies.
