The Course on Family Business and the Challenges of the 21st Century: Professionalization, Governance, Innovation and Generational Change Executive Programme is aimed at spouses and members of the next generation of families, senior management and non-family senior executives and members of the board of directors (preferably accompanied by a family member).
Curriculum
The programme is organised into 5 practical teaching modules, in which learning will be built from the various activities directly linked to professional transfer.
Along with the activities, discussion spaces and documentation specific to each unit, available on the eCampus, a wide range of teaching materials will be made available to students. This material will facilitate general understanding, the execution of the tasks of the various units of the programme and the acquisition of key competences.

- Keys to the success of family businesses throughout their life cycle.
- Professionalisation and transformation of the family business.
- Family dynamics, succession plans, generational change and responsible management of people in the family business.
- Governance in the family business and cultural values.
- Sustainability. Creation of economic, social and environmental value.
- Leadership and cultural values.
- Financial policy, risk management, estate planning and taxation.

Qualification obtained
Once you have passed the programme, you will obtain a digital certificate of completion issued by the UPF Barcelona School of Management.
To obtain the digital certificate of completion, participants must have attended 80% of the classes.
