The UPF Barcelona School of Management launches the first edition of the UPF-BSM Alumni Awards. The School proposes the awards to give visibility to personal or professional projects with social impact of UPF-BSM alumni.
According to the General Director of the UPF-BSM, José M. Martínez-Sierra, "these awards send a message to society of the kind of leaders we want to train, because there is no comprehensive professional success if our achievements do not contribute to make a better society ".
At the same time, the aim of the awards is, among others, to cultivate a community of former students who become agents of change and promote projects in this direction.
This year's UPF-BSM Alumni Awards are aimed at alumni who present entrepreneurship, intra-entrepreneurship, community or volunteering projects in the fields of health and quality of life, sustainability and environment, gender equality and sustainable finances.
They will be valued in the case of entrepreneurial projects, which seek to provide solutions for the improvement of society or planetary well-being; for intrapreneurial projects, it will be necessary to deal with projects that reorient a business or an economic sector; Community projects have to have a clear impact on their territory and volunteering projects have to help reduce social inequalities or protect the environment.
The projects, individual or collective, can be unidisciplinary or multidisciplinary, they must be framed in one or more of the academic fields of the UPF-BSM (social sciences and humanities, health and life sciences, communication and technology of information or design) and must have been developed during 2020 and have indicators of the social impact generated.
The winner will receive a Diploma for the Best Project and a 100% discount for an Executive Education UPF-BSM Course for course 21-22 of a maximum of 1,200 euros for the alumni or another person from the winning project team.
