UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) has been awarded the accreditation of the Business Graduates Association (BGA), a certification of quality that ensures the highest standards in business schools. Moreover, the School has been reaccredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) for its Management and International Business programs.
Obtaining the BGA accreditation makes the UPF-BSM the first business school in Spain to receive the distinction. In Europe, the School is the eighth institution to receive the accreditation, and the first business school affiliated to a public university to do so, joining a very select group of institutions. At a global level, the UPF-BSM is one of just 42 business schools to be accredited by the BGA worldwide.
The AMBA has also renewed its accreditation of the UPF-BSM’s international business programs, including the Executive MBA, the Full-Time MBA, the MSc in Management, the MSc in International Business and the Master in International Business.
“This achievement reflects the UPF-BSM’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and quality teaching. The internationalization of our School is a fundamental pillar of our educational mission, as well as our continuous commitment to the quality of our Masters, always ensuring that we remain leaders at a global level", explained José M. Martínez-Sierra, the Director General of the UPF-BSM.
He then emphasized that both these accreditations are given to global institutions in recognition of their excellence and potential, as well as their commitment to responsible management practices that generate a positive impact on their students, communities and local economies.
"As such, not only do these accreditations, validate the quality of the programs run by our institution, but they also underline our firm commitment to academic excellence, innovation and social responsibility social, all of which are factors highlighted in the report about the School drafted by the accreditors", added the Director General of the UPF-BSM.
Along the same lines, the Dean of the UPF-BSM, Llorenç Bagur, emphasized that “being reaccredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) is testament to our unwavering commitment to quality in training the leaders of tomorrow and recognition of the academic rigor and innovation in teaching that define our institution. Without a doubt, this significant achievement sets us the challenge of staying at the cutting edge of education, driving us to exceed expectations, explore new and opportunities and adapt to a constantly changing business landscape”.
The key aspects highlighted about the UPF-BSM
Both the AMBA and BGA underline the fact that the UPF-BSM has managed to build a solid reputation thanks to its growth and continuous development. This achievement is attributed, for instance, to the commitment of our senior leadership team, who oversee the progress of the implementation of an ambitious and constantly evolving strategy.
The success we have achieved in our research has also been highlighted both in terms of quantity and quality.
