The UPF Barcelona School of Management has reduced 20% of the consumption of electric power and water and reduced the amount of emisions during February with the VII Energy Marathon, in accordance with the values and objectives of its mission to fight for planetary well-being.
Specifically, the school of management of Pompeu Fabra University, which is the first time it has participated in this initiative, has managed to reduce electrical consumption by 19.75%; it has also cut the amount of water consumed by 25.83% and emisions by 19.83%.
All this thanks to the effort and involvement of the entire UPF-BSM community that during this month have carried out practices to ameliorate consumption in general and the impact on the environment.

The school has conducted an information campaign in the building and also an internal communication campaign with daily messages to give advice, divided thematically by weeks and dealing with light, water, sustainable mobility and emissions. Both pupils, teachers and school management staff have become aware of these actions and it has been possible to reduce the enviromental impact of the building during this month.
The VII Energy Marathon is an initiative of l'Origen for energy saving and the fight against energy poverty and climate change driven by the Catalan Energy Institute. In this edition, several buildings of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Town Halls, educational centers and facilities from all over Catalonia participated.
