The UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) has exceeded the demanding access requirements and has become an ICREA Host Institution, the Catalan Institution of Research and Advanced Studies. This achievement adds to the school's research strategy within the framework of international accreditations, and adds to the achievements recently achieved in this area by EU agencies.
This will allow the UPF-BSM to permanently host both national and international top-level researchers under the umbrella and funding of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
ICREA, a foundation funded by the Catalan government and governed by its patronage, was born in response to the need for new recruitment formulas that would allow competition on an equal level with other research systems, geared to recruiting the most extraordinary and talented scientific and academic staff.
