Novo-Nordisk Chair in Pharmacoeconomics and Health
The Novo-Nordisk Chair in Pharmacoeconomics and Health at UPF - BSM aims to generate systematized knowledge on pharmacoeconomics and health, as well as transferring this knowledge to the different interest groups involved in decision-making.
Among planned activities, there will be an annual online course accredited by the Health Professions Commission entitled: "Clinical management and economic evaluation of medicines and medical technologies".
Objectives
- Provide specialized training in pharmacoeconomics and economic evaluation of health interventions to clinical professionals, evaluation technicians, and decision-makers within the National Health System.
- Develop case studies or working documents related to the evaluation of healthcare interventions in diabetes, obesity, and other diseases in the fields of endocrinology, cardiology, and nephrology.
- Disseminate reflections and debates in Health Economics through conferences and other knowledge transfer activities.

Doctorate in Economic and Business Sciences from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Former director of the Centre for Research in Economics and Health (CRES). Director of the Online Master’s degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (English) and Máster universitario Online en Economía de la Salud y Farmacoeconomía (in Spanish) (UPF-BSM).

Director of Partnerships, Health Management Unit (UPF-BSM). Co-director of the Máster Universitario Online en Economía de la Salud y del Medicamento and the Online Master in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (UPF-BSM). PhD in Biomedicine (UPF), MSc in Economics Specialized in Health Economics and Policy (BSE), Master's Degree in Public Management (UAB).
