European Parliament has approved the Digital Services Act, that will drastically change the rules of how digital markets and digital platforms are regulated in the EU by ensuring fair competition. "Quiet quitting" as a term became viral on TikTok, meaning that employees do only what is necessary, they don't actually quit but they don't go the "extra mile". Shortly after the quiet quitting trend went viral, a mirror term emerged in mainstream media: quiet firing, referring to managers quietly "forcing" employees out by giving them bad shifts, switch their teams, asking them to do tasks unrelated to their expertise, and withholding feedback.

While it is clear that companies need to undergo a big transformation to become more circular, the circular economy model cannot succeed without the involvement of consumers too.
